About ClipScript

ClipScript is a free transcript toolkit for short-form video and audio. It turns Instagram videos, Reels, TikTok videos and local MP4/M4A files into editable transcripts with word-level timestamps, downloadable as TXT and SRT subtitles.

What the tool does

You upload a video or audio file you own. Your browser extracts and compresses the audio locally, a speech-recognition engine transcribes it, and you receive readable text, a TXT download and — whenever the timing validates — an SRT subtitle file. Automatic Instagram and TikTok link fetching is in limited testing and is clearly marked in the interface until it passes our accuracy and rights review.

What the tool does not do

It does not access private accounts, never asks for your Instagram or TikTok password, does not store your files, and does not publish your transcripts anywhere. It also refuses to fake results: no speech means no transcript, and no reliable timing means no SRT export.

Who operates it

ClipScript is an independent web tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Instagram, TikTok, Meta Platforms or ByteDance. Only transcribe content you own or have permission to use.

Responsible use

Spoken words are copyrighted like any creative work. Use transcripts for your own workflow — captions, repurposing, archives, accessibility — and get permission before transcribing or republishing other creators' content.
